Former Microsoft Litigant Turns Licensee

Microsoft announced Wednesday that it will license instant messaging and digital media technology to Linspire Inc., a desktop Linux supplier. Linspire, which lost its Lindows name in a settlement with Microsoft in 2001, will help Windows work with Linux.
