Despite its misfire on the Onyx deal, China's CDC Corp. is on the prowl for a suitable vehicle to spin off its U.S.-based software unit. The Web portal and enterprise software firm reiterated a strategy to retool its Atlanta-based software business as a stand-alone public entity.
